Prayer
Prayer for Father’s Day
Loving God,
We thank you for our fathers.
We pray for the new fathers, the older fathers and the fathers in between.
We thank our fathers for the love and joy they give us.
We thank our fathers for the care and support they give us.
We thank our fathers for everything they have taught us.
We pray for fathers in their good times and not so good times.
We pray for the fathers separated from their children.
We pray for the fathers who have lost their way.
We pray for the fathers who have died.
We pray that all fathers strive to be like St Joseph, the father of Jesus.
Amen
From my Desk
Dear Parents and Guardians,
We are approaching the last two weeks of a historic term. Time when we are grieving by the news that we received that our school will close its doors on the last day of term four, 2023.
Parents, students, staff and parishioners are all processing the news.
The thing that has stood out has been the bonding together of the community. The children are the most resilient and we are working very closely with them to ensure they have an amazing term four with a major focus on change and celebration, whist dealing with any social emotional issues they may be experiencing.
The parents have been so supportive and caring towards the staff, which we are extremely grateful for, as we grow together through this experience.
This was so evident at our Father’s Day Breakfast held on Thursday. Wonderful to see so many families enjoying each other’s company and it gave us an opportunity to celebrate the wonderful dads we have in our community. Big thank you to My Hickey for organizing the event and to all staff for their assistance.
Staff have already begun planning for term four, with a focus on celebration. Dates and times of special events will be published in term four
Parents we know are beginning on the journey of finding their preferred school for their child/children. We have packs available for the closest five catholic primary schools in the area and we are here to assist families with that process. Next week a letter will be forwarded to all families to see what stage you are at with enrolling your child. We would be grateful if you could complete the form before the end of term three.
We are also waiting further information regarding financial assistance, which we will forward to all families as soon as it arrives
Year four, five and six students are very much looking forward to camp next week and we are hoping for fine weather
Prep -3 students have two excursions – a sport’s excursion next week to Christ Our Holy Redeemer next Monday 4 September and Monday 11th September to the zoo. Please make sure permission forms are retuned to ensure all children are able to attend
What a great way to finish a term.
A reminder that term three concludes on Thursday 14th September at 3.15
Term four commences on Monday 2nd October
Regards,
Jenny
